Sorry for asking for help on my first post, I have a 450 ES 2000 model after the tab snapped of the shift plate now replaced it shifts manually but not with the shift buttons. I have checked all fuses and connections, I have also checked the shift buttons. there is no power at all going to the shift motor. Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi All, I'm also new here, recently bought a 2001 450es and shortly after had the same problem. I'm told by those who should know it's caused by the angle sensor going bad. I had to replace mine too. It's an easy fix, just 2 10m bolts at the front of the engine. Be sure and get the o ring properly seated though. Good Luck. A google search will show you exactly where it is. About 50-60 bucks. at the dealer.
Hi all just been out with my multi meter and I am getting a 6 volt reading from the shift motor without pressing the shift buttons is this correct? Any help much appreciated.
hi I just bought a 2000 Honda Forman with same problem have power everywhere except to where the wires come out and no fire to shift motor. Replaced angle sensor and new shift motor and new battery. No blown fuses either.
I also found out if you unplug those 5 wires all 5 of the tabs have constant power but as soon as I plug it back in I have no power in the wires.
