I was driving around yesterday and the front diff started making a grinding clicking snapping sound. It started when I was climbing a hill and I've noticed that when I'm climbing a hill and spinning and only one front wheel is spinning when it clacks both front wheels spin but only while its clacking and while driving it clacks when turning

I would guess the front axle on the side that the tire only spins when it clacks has a bad cv joint --------- it is normal that your both front wheels won't always both spin , there is no locker in the front end and is like a limited slip

I agree, sounds like a bad joint on one axle, and or splines maybe?
is ATV lifted?? BIG tires?

that adds stress and wear and tear to things, and finds weak links on you
also see if any of the boots have holes in them, as that leads to early failure on joints too!

no lift or big tires but used very hard

Sorry for not being on for such a long time but I found the problem the spines on the front drive shaft were shot
