Old muffler rusted out. Bought a FO-4 from Tractor Supply, bolted it up and now it wont fire. I'll get a pop every once in a while.

Can take the muffler off and it will fire up. Put it back on and nothing.

Anyone have this problem or install the FO-4 muffler? Hoping I do not have to rejet, hoping it can be adjusting with screws....Where do I even buy new jets?

UPDATE: For anyone that cares. I took the exhaust off to get it going for a bit and then slipped it on and bolted it up while running. Now it runs fines, still don't know why it was giving me trouble initially.

Going to test this a couple more times before I weld it up.

your having trouble because it does not supply enough back pressure when cranking it over.

Doesn't make much sense but I guess as long as it's working now, run it LOL. Make sure to check the plug and see that it's not running lean with the new pipe.
