I own hondas because i don't like working on my toys as much as other brand owners.Very reliable machines.Was wondering if you experts here could help me out.I rebuilt a 96 fourtrax 300 fw.Played in the mud for a while and put it in the garage cause it was too cold to ride.After about 2 months sitting now when i start it while idleing if i shake it side to side it boggs and stalls.If i hop up and down on the pegs its fine.Any ideas?

I would take the carb off and clean it good if it has been sitting for 2 months.

Its not always practical or something we want to do but I recommend cleaning up your quad real good before you put it up for any length of time and use some Stabil in your fuel to eliminate water from forming in your tank. Read the directions on the bottle and next time you crank it up she'll be ready to roll.

agree with everyone here..carb needs a good cleaning...anytime you let a bike sit for a period of time..the carb will '' gum '' up on you..i always shut the fuel off..and that little screw that is on the bottom of the carb bowl..this is to let you drain the remaining fuel from the bowl..thats what i do...anyway..give your carb a very good cleaning..that should solve your problem.
