ok so after weeks off waiting my exhaust came today its a fmf megamax with silencer it has plates on the end of it which im asumming changes the sound and or power is running less plates better for power or worse? it also came with a plate that has a tube attatched to it is that the silencer? and if so is it really worth putting on or will it rob me of any power? im not to worried about the noise but i dont want it to sound horrible and obnoxious its only a 300 after all.

More plates makes less backpressure and more flow equalling more power.I wouldn't know what to tell you about the silencer without pics.

You won't suffer that much of power gains either way. But you have it backwards Billy. More plates is less db and less power.

sadly i cant post pics due to a virus but if it is indeed the silencer ( i think it is) i doubt ill put it on if it would cause less airflow

No put the silencer on.And red I think your wrong if it's anything like a white brothers.If there's more plates you have a lager space for the air to get out.

300 would know more about the Supertrapp mufflers...LOL where is that Kid anyways? He hasn't been on in quite a few days?

The Supertrapp he has doesn't utilize disc.
