Hello guys and gals, My son i racing a 91 honda 250x and is looking for a bit more performance. I have heard that a person can take the flywheel off and shave some weight off it to have fast revs and better response on the gas. I have a close friend that has a his own machine shop and can do it right, as in makeing sure it is ballanced and everything. Doe's anyone know if it is true or any other ideas also to get the same response. It is a 250 x bored out 30. After market exhaust, air box jetted, port n pollish, over size vales. also i wonder if a quick shot will work on that old of an carb. Any other ideas would be helpfull.

Thank ya

I wouldn't suggest removing the flywheel. Step up the carb to a 400ex or a flatside will improve your performance. changing the sprockets will improve speed.. .030 is not much for a performance bore. step up to an 80mm piston kit and a +12.2 stroker crank and you will have something then.
