i think he's asking which end of the motor..seeing how honda switched the dirrection of the way the motor mounts up in the newer bikes..i think that is one of the worst ideas honda has done..if your recoil rope breaks..it's tough getting that thing off !..been there..done that a few times..lol..as far as where it is..i'm pretty sure it's on the backside where the recoil starter is..correct me if i'm wrong anyone..< sorry..haven't pulled many newer flywheels off these bikes>..other than the recoil starter.

Yeah, that's right. It should be on the back, behind the pull rope.
