there is a "check bolt" on the front of the gearcase that u fill till it starts trickling out. it has an alluminum sealing washer on it so dont loose it when u remove the bolt. same with all the drain bolts on the unit.
First Post Questions on 1998 300FW
This is my first post but I've been watching for a while.
I just purchased a 1998 300FW and have a few questions:
1. Is the clutch a wet or dry clutch? Bottom line is do I need to use an engine oil designed for wet clutches?
2. The Owners manual said to use 10w40 oil in the front differental. A local shop uses 80-90 oil in the front, middle, and rear. Is there a problem with this?
3. What are some areas I need to take a look at on this atv? I cranks and runs fine.
