hey guys I really excited, I called around and I found a honda dealer that can get me a honda 700xx that I will be able to afford the payment on. so I'm taking my 250ex over to him tomorrow and he's going to look at it and see what he can give me for trade in. and then he will be ordering me a red and black 2008 honda 700xx. he quoted me 5400 over the phone and he's only an hour away form where I live. so he tild me that when he gets it in that he would deliver it to me. So I have been super excited today. so do you guys think that I will like the 700xx better than my 250ex and also is that clutch different than on my 250 or will I catch on and be able to ride it pretty easily. so this should be sweet I'm so happy right now.

I don't own a 250EX or a 700XX, but I'm pretty sure you will like the 700XX way better than the 250EX.

You'll have to ride the clutch a little longer than the 250ex plus the ex has that weird clutch that slips but doesn't.The gears are just longer thats all.Be careful.

yeah I know that the 700xx will take some getting use to in the clutch but I'll take it slow until i get use to how the clutch works and I get use to the 700. but I looks llike a sweet machine. can't wait until I get it.

You will be absolutely amazed at the power difference. the nice thing about the 700 is the power band is not a rip the bars out of your hands torque. It has very smooth power delivery. The body roll from the IRS will take a little to get use to. I had a rough time on it my first try, but you watch Pyetime fly on his and it looks freaking sweet. He can hit corners like a mad man.

As for the clutch, when you first get it pull the clutch in and shift into first. Do not give it any gas, just slowly let the clutch out and you will feel when the clutch starts to grab and pull the bike. That will show you where your cable is adjusted to. Then the next time you try, let the clutch out to just before that spot again and very lightly start pumping the gas.

I hear ya, I get all giddy the week before a race. I remember I was bouncing off the walls waiting for delivery of my quad.

well I was going to buy a 400ex or a z400 but the other dealer that I called told me that he could get me a better deal the 700 honda then he could a 400 so that's the reason I went with the trx 700xx. well that and also cause I have been drooling over one for about two years now. and plus with the 700 i will never have to buy another quad for a really long time and that was a plus for me. cause i would like to keep this one until I can't get parts for it anymore before I buy another one. atv's are getting so expensive anymore. so i would like to hang on the them as long as i can.

I know what you mean by ATVs are getting so expensive and parts are expensive also. At least Honda parts are cheaper than most kinds. For some reason Yamaha parts are way more expensive than Honda. It seems like Honda parts should be the most expensive as they usually last longer.

yeah I know what you mean. and it's not just the oem parts that are expensive but the aftermarket parts are getting a little outrageous also. but the more the companies like honda, yamaha, and those guys put more and more computer controlled stuff on their quads. the higher the price of their products will go up. fuel injection on quads is a good thing though but I think that they should leave it and fuelinjection and not put anymore computer controlled stuff on them and try to keep the cost of their products down cause in the long run they will make more. but we'll see what the nex big thing will be next I guess. and I'm hoping that the dealership calls me tomorrow and tells me thta they have my 700xx in from honda so I can get it delivered. cause I'm about to explode with excitment.
