Filling cracks and scratches

Had my first attempt at fixing my plastics with a soldering gun. Seems to hold very nicely but the previous owner had them zip tied for a long time and the cracks didn't match up the greatest on the front side. My question is how should I finish the front? Was thinking either fill with a clear epoxy then sand and polish or go ahead and plastic weld the front side then try to sand it smooth and polish it. What do you think?
