I just recently got a 2008 Honda rancher 420.it ran fine when I got it nothing wrong. I unhooked the battery and put connector grease on the plugs under seat and computer I guess that’s what that is lol... now the FI light is blinking 8 times...what does it mean and how can I fix it. Thank you

What model (FM, FE, TM, TE, FPE, FPM?) is it? Which indicator light is flashing?

Nevermind, I see now that your FI indicator is flashing. Code 8 is a TP Sensor issue, either low/no voltage or voltage too high. See the attachment for the codes chart.

You may have to unplug everything you dielectric greased and look for a bent pin in a connector, or perhaps one of those plugs is not plugged in completely? Or maybe the TP sensor is still unplugged? You can find a copy of the service manual in the 1st thread at the top of the manuals forum:
