Does anybody have any pics close up of the factory heel guards for a 400ex. I seen the mounting on bikebandit.com but i would like to see what it looks like in real life.

This is a 450 but pretty much the same.

What I really want to see is the backside. You can see here what looks like some kind of metal rod that attaches to the backside. I know I don't have any of this anymore so I am trying to decide how necessary they are and how exactly it they attach to the frame and pegs.

Tusk is a decent brand.

I read good things about them over at ex riders so thats why I started looking and then I found out they come in different colors. Although I guess I could grab a set with built in heel guards and have them powdercoated.

i believe rock and tusk are the same because i have rock nerfs and they look identical to the tusks.i wouldnt put the factory ankle and knee breakers back on because i almost learned the hard way i would get nerfs and at least heel guards much better protection.as you can see with the zip ties the nets are kinda cheezy

i really like them super strong A+ they also have removable and adjustable steel pegs.
