I have a Rancher 350 2002 and it was leaking gas i to my airbox then going into my engine, before i got it fixed it didnt smoke, but then i got it back and it did smoke a blueish smoke, now there is a ton of pressure in my motor and i have to relieve it by cracking the oil cap which sprays oil everywhere, does anybody know what the problem is???? Oh and by the way i'm a new member and i'm not too sure how these forums work.

My bet is the fuel clogged up the crank case breather. It would be attatched to the intake tube most likely. If it has any sort of a trap in it i would bet its full of gas.

colour of smoke

i always thought blue was oil smoke, black, too rich, an white,, sometimes the carb, most time water is getting in a cylinder, before cylinder fires. the 64 chevy, 6-cyl, was bad about cracking heads, if you didnt keep a tight rein, on checking the water levels in the radiator.
ya outta seen the cloud of white smoke i left behind me, when i had a cracked head.
no tail-gaiters, or much other traffic behind me, for 3/10, of a mile. :grin
could some kind of crankcase vent tube, be clogged?

On the right hand side of the motor, top/rear, there is a hose attached to the motor case with a small clamp. That is the crankcase breather hose. It goes into the airbox where it connects to a plastic filter holder... that butts up against the foam air filter. Take that entire hose & plastic assembly off from the bike and clean it out. Replace the tiny foam filter inside the plastic holder. Remove the plastic drain from the airbox and clean the airbox out good. Clean & reoil the foam air filter (or replace with new & oil it lightly). Reassemble. You can find a copy of the service manual for your bike linked in THIS THREAD.

yes if you didn;'t drain the oil after the fuel was filling air box its very well could have also been draining into your oil; and making the oil very diluted and could cause bigger motor issues as fuel; can dry out seals and gaskets and bearings??
SO< did you change oil after the fuel issue was corrected??
if not, I would start with changing the oil., making sure correct amount is in it, as too much oil can cause too much pressure and that can cause blow by which will make your blue ish smoke?
I would also as stated above check your breather line too!

but my guess is you had a over filled motor due to fuel filling into it as well as your air box!
