I've used fiberglass wrap in industrial applications and it worked well, not sure about using it on a bike exhaust that gets coated in mud, might be hard to clean...
I have used the titanium dei wrap. The key is you want to either paint it or put a clear coat on it. If you dont it will absorb water and mud and wont last long. I had it on my old header and it didnt start to fray for almost 2 riding/racing seasons. And i ride in a good bit of mud. I do tend to wash my quad right after though and dont leave it dirty for very long.
I have it on my Renegade, seemed to help, those things run HOT. Also have some of it on a farm tractor. DEI stuff and coated with their aerosol paint they sell.
We used to wrap our custom headers with the DEI stuff. It lasts a long time if you do a good tight job of it and saturate it with extra aerosol coating when you're done. We used it to lower temps under the hood and to maximize torque output. I didn't like to work around the wrapped header pipes though, they make your skin itch.
