Ive got a 2008 honda rancher 420 es fourwheeler that ive had for years. I've had this problem where when i drive it suddenly it will display a dash and not allow me to shift. This issue occurred rarely but now its more frequently. I've took it to the dealer ship and they said they could'nt find a problem with it (I believe they only drove it out the bay and back in) and still charged me $300 to diagnose the issue. I've done some research on my own and believe it's a angle shifting sensor and ive also found where its located and took it out cleaned it put it back and still the problem should i replaced it or can some informed me more about the issue, please and thank you!
You should clean the corrosion off all the connectors, check all the wires for continuity, test all the ES system sensors,, and then hope that it is not the ECU. OR you can bypass the ECU and forget about the sensors, wires and connectors.
good deal !, ya can't fix stupid, not even when ya bypass it !..roflmao.
