I have a 1998 Honda Foreman 450 ES.
The ES is not working.
On the shift monitor it is only showing dotting lines - - - unless I use the foot lever to change gears.
I took the ES shift motor off and tested it and the motor is working fine. Checked all fuses and the 30 amp fused was bad, so I replaced it. But ES is still not working.
Question??? What else could be the issue with the shift motor not shift gears and not showing on the display monitor?
Thanks

Well, just because your fuses aren't blown doesn't mean you have power to the electronic shifting system. check the voltage where goes to the transmission. If you have voltage, then your wiring is good! but some electronic shifting component is faulty. If you don't have voltage at the transmission, this means that your shifting components are most likely good, and something is wrong with the wiring itself. After that, my knowledge ends. So I hope this helps!
