My 2008 420ES wont shift with the handlebar control, i dont hear the shift motor either. i dont see any voltage at the shift motor plug when using a meter and operating the switches. for the first time i tried the manual shift lever but it wont even move. the display shows its in 3rd gear but the atv is free moving as though its in neutral. the display showing 3rd blinks 1 time slow then 2 times fast. any thoughts?

took out the shifter motor and housing and found 1 tooth missing on the intermediate gear. looks like it was causing the whole thing to bind so i couldn't manually shift and it wouldn't let any power go to the shifter motor. I assume this was because the angle saw it between gears and wouldn't allow power to it. i rotated the gear 180 degrees put it back in and everything works great

Davecrash, My 420Es wont shift. I can manually shift the gears but the shaft of the angle sensor just twitches. Can you confirm your angle sensor shaft rotates when the gears are changed?
