you think maybe that might be my problem if so i could try cleaning it really good
you can try taking it apart..remove all your jets..inner parts..with some gum out carb spray cleaner..spray it really good..with some comressed air..blow through everywhere on the carb..jets and all..put it back together..see how it runs..make sure you don't spray any rubber o-rings with the carb cleaner spray..it will dissolve them !

Go ahead and clean it real good, if it doesn't work then go ahead and rebuild it like shadetree said :D
lol bro..i just hate guessing when it comes to a engine not running right..soo..instead of the guess work on carbs..i rebuild them..this way i know for a fact it's not the carb !..lol. spec if they are old carbs..most owners never ever rebuild them..or clean them.

And after rebuilding or cleaning you carb if it still doesn't run check your valves mine tightened up once and it would not start re shimed to spec and it fired right up.

Yeah, I agree with Shadetree and 69, it's got to be the carb or the valves.
