This is something I noticed a few days ago when I I got stuck in a mud hole. It was just up to the bottom of the skid plates but just that nasty peanut butter mud. When I was trying to rock it back and forth, I noticed it stumbling on itself in reverse. I would barely give it half throttle and it starts choking, like its getting too much or not enough fuel, it does this in 2 or 4wd. When going forward its ok, it has a bit of delayed throttle response. I plan on pulling it into the garage tomorrow, what are some simple things I can check?? The air filter is clean, fuel filter and spark plug (factory NGK plug) have been replaced a few months back, and the oil was changed back in April of this year. Your help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Could it be a rev limiter? My 2008 rincon won't go but like 12mph in reverse and it cuts out. I have a newly purchased 05 model but I don't know if it has the limiter on it or not!

Sounds like it might be the reverse rev limiter to me too.

My quad does the samething. It is the revlimiter IMO.
