Can I take the electric shift off of a salvage Recon and put it on a 250ex? I want to get my daughter an ex but she likes the electric shift of the Recon. How can i make her happy?
Air shifter setup like motorcycles run at the drag strip? I think you gotta mount a tank and re-fill it pretty often though. Probably more headache then its worth.
she may like the electric shift ?, but after spending tons of hours repairing it ?..YOU WILL START TO HATE IT !..LOL. if I had a es model...and it was on fire ?..I'D LET IT BURN TO THE GROUND !..LOL. your time, your money.
I have owned an Electric Shift Recon for a couple of years and love it.
My 16 year old daughter wants something that looks fast but i aint getting her something fast because she goes too fast so i ma getting her an 250ex but i think it would be cool to take the electric shift off of a wrecked/broken Recon and put it on a EX i want to get her. Can the electric shift fit on a none ES model?
Some models can be converted to ES, but you'd need the entire wiring harness, ECM & switches assembly as well as the front crankcase cover, shifter shaft and all the ES parts that go in it. Most conversions are done in the opposite direction... to get rid of the ES in favor of a manual shifter.
