The rear end on those older Honda's is actually a gear case, not a differential at all. Solid axle, same drive to both rear wheels. The front end is pretty basic afaik, nothing posi or locking up there, one wheel spin baby (especially when the rear axle splines are stripped)!!

I'm a gear head but new to ATV's. recently purchased the 2002 350ES that needs a little bit of work
