Hi
I am new to this forum and probably a one off visitor. I have two Fourtrax Honda ATV's that have desert storm paint. One is a 4X4 and the other a 4X2. They are in good condition we have not used them much and they have generally sat in our garage. Does anyone have a rough idea what they would sell for ? This would be in the Houston Texas area. Thanks

As MC said, we’d need a few pictures and a little more information. General condition, any known issues need addressing, years of both ATV’s, how/where they were used, do they have tags/vin numbers?

Yes the color is beige - the camouflage is on the decals. I have had them serviced every year even though we hardly use them and there is no rust on the engines. They have never been "stuck" as we just use them to go through the pasture to see our cows ( we want to buy a six seat mule to replace them ). I am sending them in to be serviced next week. I will take photos tomorrow - hopefully I can figure how to post them. Thanks

They both have the number 300 on them.

having them serviced ?..hmmm..better call them before you load them up, and take them to a dealer !, most Honda dealerships will not touch anything older than 10 years old !.

Our dealership charges extra labor on machines over 12 years old, which means $120 per hour. Worth it if you can’t do yourself

Does it look like this? This is a 99 TRX300FW in Harvest Beige.

Was yours a red one Shade? Resale Red!

NADA gives an estimate of $2465 for my 93 4x4, in excellent condition, for my area. My equipment account lists the value of that 99 at $2800. I would say that’s a good place to be. The dealer gonna want to list it at $3-3.2K, so he’ll wanna give you half that. The harvest beige is not as popular. What options does it have Winch? A-arm guards? Owners manual? Service manual? Cover? Stock tires? All those add value.

I am not smart enough to put photos on here. Thanks everyone for your answers. Service is not a problem as we have a local garage that can handle. I thought they would be worth nearer the $ 4-5 K I paid for them in 2002 or so as everyone who sees them says they are collector items because they are easier to service and more reliable than more modern ones. For $ 2500 I clean them up and use them even if it is only a few hours every year.
Thanks again. I appreciate the cooperation.

no one in their right mind is going to pay what you paid for them 15 years ago !..lol. if someone comes along, and wants one bad enough ?, and it's show room condition ?, then you might get top dollar for them ?, other than this ?, parts are very hard to get for them, most folks today don't want to mess with a old atv. personally, i'd rather have an older atv..because they made them right back then !..lol.

Shady just doesn’t like getting his wallet out lmao (only kidding shade)

IMHO, if your 300’s are tidy with very little rust, very few scratches on the fenders then they MAY fetch what you want for them. If your in no rush for a sale, advertise them and start high, you can always come down in price.

My Father spent near on £2000 for a 98 300, one owner from new, ridiculously low mileage/hours, no modifications, original tyres and not a spec of rust.
The conversion probably works out expensive in the USA but over here that’s top emd price for a very near mint 300.
