Hello,
I am new to this forum. Has anyone had any experience racing utility quads in desert racing series? I have a 2017 rancher 420 and I could use some advice before the 100 mile race in September.

I should imagine an oil cooler of some kind and possibly a larger radiator would be beneficial. I’d be tempted to fit wheel spacers to gain extra width and possibly smaller diameter tyres so the sand doesn’t soak up wanted power.
All depends on the kind of race I guess. Give us some more information, there are folk here do and have raced competitions, they’ll give you some good pointers for sure

So stock size tyres would be suitable then I guess.
It really all depends on how you ride also, if your entering just for the fun of it your Honda will be fine as it is, if you plan on getting out there and trying to win you may want to change a few things. Stability and reliability are key.
A good service before any race/event is also a worthy mention.
