I am in the process of replacing the front cv boot on my 2015 Rubicon. When I pulled the axle out fluid drained out of the front differential, is this normal? There is enough that it leaked onto the floor.

It looks very clean. It is a 2015 Rubicon with 500 miles on it and it has never been apart before. It may have been the way I jacked it up, I lifted it from the center of the front tires, so it is rocked back a bit. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't damage something inside the differential to cause it to leak out. I would say at most maybe a couple of teaspoons dripped out.

That's fine. Fix it, put the axle back in, and top it off till it runs out the fill hole.

Rear diff has a check bolt on the left side, front diff you fill till it starts running out of the fill hole.
