2” lift, swingarm stretch, 54% Gear reduction, you’ll need larger offset wheels on the front at least so they don’t catch when you turn. Also, it would be wise to change the rear axle for that of a 250atc, trx250a or 350d.
It’s a lot of work, time and money.

Follow the ‘blue 300’ thread of Fishfiles and my ‘ongoing project 300’ thread, you’ll see what’s involved then :)

I'm talking about the extremely skinny wheel that are basically two prices of metal and forces your tires to to extend farther out as in height.
Ahh ok, I’m following you. I’ve never seen those on a Honda. Think you’d be wanting a canam Rene to run those.

I never really understood the huge lifts on 300's. You can't spin bigger than 30-32's anyway, which you can clear with a 4" lift and you will run a solid rear axle and paddle in the rear anyway so you aren't gaining any clearance with the extra lift. All show but no more go....
One word "water" lol. Might not have very high ground clearance but when you ride like we do in a lot of mud or sometimes deep water it allows you to go deeper man lol. All about water "clearance"

Here’s my snorkel height, you can just make me out in the pic, I’m 6’2” tall, the snorkel comes to my nose.
Because I ride at truck parks some of the holes swallow you up without warning, if I’m doubt, extend your snorkel another foot.
I’ve seen some on the 300 FB Page where the snorkels must be 7 feet or more tall!!

I like it SamUK lol. But it the extra height of a snorkel really worth anything if it eventually gets taller than you when your riding on the bike. Haha we took off through his pond and had to use every bit of the snorkel height plus the lift on the bike. That extra 11in of lift was a life saver lol

I just put mine where it looked best to me if I’m honest. I figured I’d have to be unlucky to hit a hole nearly 6’ deep. That’s from the floor though, not when I’m on the bike lol

all my bikes with snorkels come up on the side , I think it is better if you can put it in the middle as I have flipped over a few times to the side the snorkel was on and took on water , in the middle helps some ------- speaking of that , the 300 parts bike I just got has the mount for the fuel tank cut off one side the frame and I was wondering why they would have done that , and when I looked at the fender there was a hole right in the middle , I just can't believe the PO would have cut the frame to give access for the snorkel , that is crazy , I think I can fix that frame if needed by cutting the weldment off a old 2wd frame

If I go past the handlebars on a 300 i figure thats more than deep enough. Me standing on the floorboads would probably be 8ft or better from the ground, at least on the bigger 300 I had. The other problem is in water that deep and with tires that big, she's gonna want to float.

Of course, handlebar deep on the 300 doesn't seem so bad when riding the Rene haha.
