So there is a oil leak coming from the crankcase I did give the quad to a expert to replace the starter. While he was doing that he said that he topped off the oil aswell. Now its leaking and I dont know if it's the seal, or too much oil here is a picture of where its leaking it is bubbling out where the black line is.

Well it looks like there is orange rtv sealant on that stator cover. If that was put on there by the "professional" i would think twice before ever taking anything to him again. Using rtv on any part of the engine is a very very bad idea. Probably part of the oil leak is there is supposed to be a gasket on the stator cover. And a small bead of honda bond on the rubber grommet for the stator wiring. My .02

i just bought my 400ex and the same wire is leaking very slowly, the fat black rubber part is cracked but it seems i need to replace the whole wire - any ideas on what its called or where i can buy one????
