Well doin my weekly maintance and found a couple cracks will post some before and afterpics have already pulled off plastic, gas tank, air box and carb went and bought some 1/8" flat stock to fab some gussets will weld the cracks and then weld in the gussets, sure is messin up the orange paint job, oh well gotta do what you have to do hope this works!

Crappy, Get her PC'ed. Make it match mine and you can officially be a dynamic graphics rider! LOL

Wow that must be a weak point on those frames? The gussets should work fine. That may be worth it for the other 450R owners to keep a check on?

Here is one side fixed, welded crack smoothed oved weld placed a 1 1/4" wide x 1/8" thick flat stock over crackwelded on inside of frame formed around frame tube and welded in then welded gusset in, excause my welding its been a while, how ya'll like my little welding setup?

Not just other 450R owners, but everyone should check there frames from time to time as all frames will crack in certain places eventually, especially if you ride them hard. I have had a lot of stress cracks in different types of ATV frames through the years.

Not just other 450R owners, but everyone should check there frames from time to time as all frames will crack in certain places eventually, especially if you ride them hard. I have had a lot of stress cracks in different types of ATV frames through the years.

Well got it all put back together repainted the areas that had to be repaired hope it holds.

Yeah, looks like you did a good job, it will hold.
