i have a 05 rancher with same problem throwing code 12.have replaced shift motor angle senser and all sorts of stuff to no help.the shop i took it to said had no idea what was wrong and couldnt fix the problem.so any help would be nice and if i find anything out i will let you knowcode

Was the angle sensor preloaded when installed?

as far as i know it was preloaded but with those jackholes who knows?they say its all electrical to replace wire harness but may not fix it.
