Hey all, i have a 86 trx 350 all wheel drive. It has started to clunk or make noises when turing left or right. Now is this a bearing in the knuckle or the drive shaft in the boot? Any help would be great!

It's probably the CV joint [inside the boot]. Is it just a single clunk, or a clunk clunk clunk as you move while turning?

Unfortunately, it will be difficult to find the parts you need and you'll have the best luck on Ebay. 86 is the only year you can get those parts from, the 87-89 have different shafts.

I recently sold a right shaft and knuckle that I had bought off ebay but never used. If you keep an eye out you'll see another one, and keep an eye out here in the 'parts' forum for people parting out machines, you might stumble onto one.

if its a clunking its probley in the frunt end probley a knuckle

just wanted to say thanx for the direction you guys have sent me, and for the parts link sticky....talked with arts snowmobile and atv reair, they had the parts. I ordered them friday morning and were at my door by 9 am today. Excellent service!!!!!
