I have been looking around for a replacement CDI for my 97 TRX300 2x4 and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I don't have any modification done to the bike so I just need a stock replacement. I have found the factory replacements on some sites for around $160. But I have also found some aftermarket boxes for between $60 and $70. I would like to spend less money but I wasn't sure if the cheaper aftermarket boxes were any good. The two main sites for the aftermarket that I have checked have been msgsupply.com and a site selling ricks electric. If anyone could help me out with my decision that would be great.

I don't have any experience with them, but if I were buying, I would just go with the cheaper priced, aftermarket units.

I'm also needing to replace my CDI. I have a Rev Max on an '05 TRX450R. It's a race built bike. The CDI has been getting really hot and killing all power to the bike. I'm not sure how old or how much use the CDI has had. Should I replace it with another Rev Max or take a different route?
