Well it's all in the carb bro. my 250 started everytime first kick and stayed running but now that I have added the 400ex carb..... I gotta fan the throttle a bit until it warms up. just aomething that we are going to have to live with or buy a FCR carb.
I had a problem with cold starts in the winter 30 deg's i put full synthedic oil and that made a huge differance in the way it would start not near as hard to get started.
Yeah the aftermarket cdi on my brothers actually made it not start at all in the winter. He put the stock on and it fired right up. Then after he rode it around and warmed it up he could put his big gun back on. We made a heater for it out of a dryer element and a blower housing and point it right at the carb or under the gas tank. It seems like warming up the fuel makes it start way easier!
