My 2000 350 rancher ES is leaking gas out of the back line that is attached to the rear axle. Everyone is saying it's the float hung or there's trash in it. I really am not good with carbs anyone have any advice on this? Someone said to let it run all the gas out of it and put fresh in and it might help it I don't know I'm just trying to get it up and running my son is about to drive me crazy and it needs to be ran.

Please do not make two threads for the same question :)

That line is coming from your air filter box. Which means the fuel flow in the carb is not stopping when you let off the gas. Your float and needle either needs attention or need replacing.

I am a sport quad guy so if this is totally wrong just ignore me lol

Edit::::I found this older thread that you started with the same exact problem

Before you try anything:

- turn off the gas from the tank
- unscrew the carb drain screw at the bottom of the float bowl and let the carb drain
- use a compressor or can of air to blow into the drain hole
- tap the float bowl lightly with a wrench or screwdriver a few times
- put the drain screw back in and turn the gas on, see if gas still comes out.

If gas is still coming out, you'll need to investigate a little further to see if the float is stuck, or possible has a puncture and is filled up with gas, and check for debris in the carb
