Got a 05 Rancher TRX400FA last Friday. first ATV. Long story short. Got it home and found the carb leaking fuel at the overflow. Got a rebuild kit. Pulled, cleaned, installed rebuild. Tested, no leak. Installed and tested. No leak. Short ride around yard and park it. Guess what? Carb is leaking again. Is there something I am missing? Or should I just buy a new carb?

Could be gunk in the fuel line that just re-fouled your float valve. Tank dirty with a torn or missing petcock screen?
Whatever you do, don't buy a new carb yet unless it is to replace some non Honda carburetor.
