Thanks to both of you for your quick responses. There's no "made in ... " stamp at all on the new one. But it does have a KEIKHINKT stamp on it. The original has KEI*HIN JAPAN stamped on it. Is keikhinkt a knockoff made in china product replacement for keihin?
carburetor cap
I bought a new carburetor for my 02 trx250ex and it the carburetor cap is has a wider diameter than the original. I can't figure out for the life of me how to remove the old carburetor cap from the throttle cable.

Thanks for letting me know... I guess I'll just do some serious cleaning on it. Do you think some of the components from the knockoff (ie, rings, gaskets, springs,bolts, screws, floats, etc.) can be used to replace original parts?
