Where did you buy it from? How was it listed? Is the cost comparable to an oem one from Honda or was it a $50 special? If these don't check out, probably knock off. Especially true if you are seeing differences compared to your original one.
carburetor cap
I bought a new carburetor for my 02 trx250ex and it the carburetor cap is has a wider diameter than the original. I can't figure out for the life of me how to remove the old carburetor cap from the throttle cable.
