Well that stinks. Must have already been broken. That's why I was taking it apart and cleaning it. Was idling so low it would die even when the screw was turned all the way up. Thank you for your help! Learned something new today.

I recommend you search fleabay for the same model carb Keihin QB02B B; used carb sometimes i get em $30 free shipping. Rebuild it and use yours for parts—don’t ever throw it away.
I have a parts carb and have used the bowl, seals, butterfly and screws off it.
Stick with Honda OEM replacement you’ll not beat the reliability and performance

That sounds like a great idea. Even if this part was replaceable it would probably cost about that just to get that part alone. Do you know what that part is called that is hooked up to the throttle cable?

Name might be called out in the manual—throttle bellcrank?—no part number for it but yes you can replace it.
If you buy a parts carb, buy a set of drifts (punches)—spring pin holds it on the butterfly shaft.
Drive out the pin on your broken one first—if you screw it up it’s already broken right! Reinstall the spring pin and tap in with a larger drift punch
