Where is there a goog place to get a carb kit for a '02 250EX. Are they hard to install? It is my wife's atv and sense children it gets little use and I am guessing a carb kit would help it out. It will only run with the choke some what out. I have messed with the idle speed and can not keep it the same. Seems as if every time you restart it it is at a different idle speed. Well now the kids are older plus we bought some land and need and want to ride again. Any help would be great. Thanks

Yes a carb would help. But try an exhaust and intake upgrade first. Jet accordingly

Again I haven't messed with jetting but it did run great the first few years when it got plenty of use. It did always backfire until it warmed up.

Agreed ^^^^^ try cleaning it first then see what you come up with. you may also want to invest in a new air filter if you haven't already.
