Hello Everyone, I am having a little trouble with my carb. I am new to this whole thing so, please be gentle... LOL

While at idol the engine starts to race. I hit the throttle and I just get higher RPMs then because I do not want to kill the engine.. I cut it off.

I wait a minute and start it back up.. Then after a little time.. It starts to do it again.

Can anyone tell me where to start with this..

Oh yeah.. While you are riding it does this too. Not too safe for my wife.. She will freak out..

Float valve getting stuck would be my first guess.

That is what I was thinking too.. I will just have to do a really good cleaning of the carb..

Would not hurt anyway.

my guess is the idle screw. i had this problem too. the screw was very slightly disfigured or worn on the tip..
