ok guys ive tried and tried i cant seem to figure out how to idle my 300 down right now when i shift in gear it takes off lol. So i know its idled way to high, but ive turned the idle screw both ways or i think its the idle screw lol, and cant seem to tone it down.

Have you checked your throttle cable? If it's adjusted up too much, it won't let the throttle plate return to the idle position.

you can also check to see if you have a cracked boot on the carb. that will cause it also.

i know i noticed today i have a ton of gas that seems to be coming out of the carb from all edges of it. hopeing i dont have to rebuild it.
The floats probably sticking. That would explain why it won't idle down. It's overloading with gas.
