Welcome to the forums. Is it actually not going into neutral or is the neutral light just not coming on?

The neutral light is not going on
Make sure the wire plug hasn't come off the neutral switch. The neutral switch should be on the right side of the engine, near the bottom under a cover. It should be located above the foot peg or near there. There will be a reverse sensor right beside the neutral switch.

If it's still plugged in, unplug it and ground it to the engine and the neutral light should come on, with the key on. And if it does, the neutral switch is bad.

first thing you need to do..is get the bike in neutral..you will know when it is..when you can roll the bike easliy..after this..check on the lower right side by your foot rest..there is a metal cover ..behind that..is your reverse and neutral plug...( two wire plugs together )..one is neutral..other is reverse..remove them..clean them..pop them back on..you should get a light then.

Also, you may not be getting power to the neutral light. If it still don't work after trying what Shadetree and I suggested, check the small, red wire coming off one of the starter solenoid posts and trace it to the main, inline fuse and make sure the fuse is good. Or you could probably just turn the key on and make sure the headlights work. If they do, the main fuse is good.
