I'm picking up a used '07 trx680 tonight. I already gave it the visual once over but I still need to ride it. It starts right up and doesn't smoke or knock. I know I need to run it through the gears in both modes but is there anything else I need to look out for? It has 77 hours on the clock. I have the knowledge and tools to fix about anything but I'm not looking for a project.

One thing one of my machines does is that you can start it in either 2 or 4 wheel drive, but if you shift it from 2 to 4 while it's moving, sometimes it will get an error and 4x4 indicator will flash. If I turn it off and back on, it works fine again. It's probably a sensor or an adjustment that needs done, but just thought I'd say it.

Also, make sure it's cold when you get there and that the guy hasn't warmed it up for you, just so you can see how it starts cold.

Thanks... It's a girls machine and we started it from ice cold on a cold evening. It fired right up without a hickup and settled right into a nice idle. i intend on running it through the paces when I go to get it this afternoon. It was on a trailer when I saw it the other night so I didn't ride it.

Well... I got it. It has aftermarket wheels and tires and rides pretty rough on the pavement. It also came with the stock wheels and tires. It was dark when I got it home so I didn't get to go over it real good yet. It seems to run fine and everything seems to work. It's only got 77 hours and 780 miles on it. Pictures to follow if I can get home before dark some day.
