I picked this up a little less than a month ago. Wanted something 4wd, but not the size of a ford festiva :)

It had a plow, but it was a beam mounted to the hitch and wouldn't handle the angle at my driveway. So I built a mount that bolts to the foot pegs. Should be plenty strong enough down there.

Got a little bit of work to do. I need to adjust the angle on the push tubes a little because it hangs on the bottom of the drive...but it's getting there.

No plans on production. I work too much to make any sort of time commitments...so I do this stuff to keep me occupied and away from the honey do list ;)

I'll grab some pictures of the mount when I get some more shielding gas and get the lowest mount beefed up. I set it up with some thinner pieces for mock up, and i can see those pieces bending with any off center push or hit.

just an idea for ya..see how you like it..if you set your winch back under the fender like i mentioned in the other thread..put it behind the fan shroud, then use the mounting holes where you got the winch bracket now for your plow tube supports..this way the plow can swing up and down from there. you should have enough support holes where the front bumper was to mount the plow supports. this way your plow brackets won't drag on your driveway...just an idea for ya :).

I was actually looking at that last night. I can leave everything where it's at and just mount the push tubes to the bumper. I can extend the rear part of the bumper back a little and catch another set of holes to beef it up a little.

We'll see what happens :). I'm down for the day with a stomache bug...so I won't be doing anything in the garage.

ah ha !!..see what happends when you don't do those honey do's !!..lmao..yeah..you should have enough holes to mount the plow up front, instead of running those tubes under the bike, this will keep it from dragging on your drive way. it still looks great though..very nice work !. i had some pic's of how and where i did my winch..now..if i can just find them ??.lol.

as you can see..i made sure i put the winch right there ontop of the frame supports..this gives me plenty of strength...i had to cut out the shroud for the roller fair leads..but..it turned out really good looking,,also had to cut out the side mud covers in order to get to the winch knob handle..also the other side to get the power wires hooked up..but..i'm pleased with how it looks. the winch sets on a piece of metal that i had cut..it's 1/4 thick..after over 400 bucks..i wanted to make sure it stayed there !..lol.

when i get a chance..and figure out a way to mount this model winch on my '96 trx300fw..i'll be putting one on it, was looking at it..and they don't give you any room to mount one on under the front of it..lol..sooo..i'll have to figure something out. i'm also gonna throw some new itp mudlites on it, really love how they work on my ' 89 trx350d foreman...very pleased with the ride they have and really really love that 6 ply !..lol.

I don't do a while lot of riding, mostly just during winter months. But I'm going to try to get this out to one of the offroad parks before they close for the winter. Maybe I'll be able to use it to pull my jeep out or something ;)

I was taking a closer look at at the front bumper. I should easily be able to build another set of push tubes and mount it up there. Gotta pick up some shielding gas tomorrow and mock it up.

The nice part about mounting it up higher like that, I won't lose any ground clearance at all, and I can leave the mount there all the time. Wouldn't have to worry about storing the mount in the splring and summer months.

I taught myself how to weld around 5 years ago. Surely a skill that comes in handy in many aspects of my life. I also build all the parts I can for my jeeps and other project vehicles.

I have a pretty well equipped garage, that is currently a complete disaster. Gotta clean it up a little before it gets too cold outside.
