Hey yall. I was doing some maintence on the recon today and I have been noticing the brakes aren't grabbing good. I took the hub cap thing off and there is alot of brake on the pad. Anyone have ideas on why the brakes aren't grabbing well?

Perhaps they just need to be adjusted. Or, they are leaking fluid.

Yes I drained the fluid and put new in it. I haven't really adjusted the brakes though. I thought I would need to clean them cause they have alot of mud caked up in them.

Did you bleed the brakes when you put new fluid in? I bet you just need to do some maintenance and readjust and you should be good.

Yeah, I agree. First, I would clean all the mud out and adjust the brake shoes up. If that don't do it, then I would try bleeding them.

I finally got them to work it took me like 2 hours to do it though. They work so much better.
