I have a 2004 Recon ES. The back brakes have begun to squeel and are catchy when engaged. I'm sure they need replaced. However, I've also noticed that if I turn my handlebars to the right, the back brakes engage without pressing the foot brake or the handle. I have turned the 4 wheeler off, rolled it forward with the handles turned hard right and the rear brake engages but the lever on the rear-end that pulls the brakes on does NOT move at all. Is there something internally causing this (self adjuster, bearing etc?)?

I would say there is an issue with ajustment or rust causing them to bind.
