I have a 2007 Foreman 4x4 500. A while back I replaced the back brake cable because I broke the stock 1 in some fence. I had it all adjusted just fine then I took it to the Honda shop for routine maintenance and they adjusted the brakes. Now the pedal is hard to push down and when it goes down you have to pull it back up with your toe. It is harder than heck to get pulled back into place. I have tried adjusting the wingnut on the cable and cannot get this problem fixed. The only thing adjusting the wingnut does is make the pedal not go as far down but still I have a hard time getting the pedal come back up to original place. Thanks for the help.

This is what you are looking for Look at the diagram and make sure you have all your springs and there is no binding at the pedal
