that looks wrong to me, can it be adjusted? many times them levers are on splined shafts, and you just pull off and then rotate and put back on

I am sure too there are countless aftermarket options for a brake lever for a 300EX, they been about a LONG time

also, have you tried looking up the schematic's to see if the OEM one looks different?
I don't own any sport atv's so cannot say for sure, but
I would fix if it was me too, so they do use it!

Hi, just bought a used 1996 300ex and it looks like the rear brake lever is way too high and afraid the kids wont use it as they can't get their foot up that high quickly.

Is this right or is there a different foot brake lever I can buy? thanks
See where I circled? That is a threaded rod that is for adjusting the brake pedal height. But you can see a prior owner welded it. And it looks like it may not even be the right brake pedal.

So what I would do is replace the threaded rod, nut, and end piece with new ones: https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/h...x-a-fourtrax-300ex/rear-brake-master-cylinder , or find a whole master cylinder assembly that comes with those parts. And also find a good used or aftermarket brake pedal.

Thanks guys.... yeah I noticed the weld.... but even so doesn't look like there would be enough adjustment regardless.... thinking of taking it off, heating and bending or cutting and welding it.... haha..
