I noticed the front brake breather tubes were cut, most likely from the stick stoppers I installed years ago. I replaced the tubes but my question is this: when I route the tube up through the steering wheel column do Ithey connect to something? Do I need to remove the fuel tank or can I just shove them through the wholes where I pulled the old ones out?

there are holes drilled in a cross member of the frame in front of the tank , those hoses go into them holes ----- it would be easier to just come up thru the plastic dash cover and tie strap to the brake cable and or brake hose , they will be higher there and you won't have to remove the tank to get at the holes where the vents go
