You got a great deal. That 05 is clean from the pics. Tires aren't worn, Plastics look good, seat is in great shape, HMF exhaust. Hard to come by bikes in that good of condition for that price. Good score

Wow i would have jumped on that for 1000 bucks. That thing is clean! One piece of advice i will give you though! That last picture shows the front end way up in the air. You have to be careful doing this for long periods with the 300ex. The oiling system isnt designed for long wheelies. It will run the oil pump dry and then the topend dry. Just some food for thought!

I mean dont think you have to keep it on the ground no matter what. Its just for long periods of time. Think of it this way. The oil pump is just under where the oil filter goes. All the oil runs to the back of the engine and the oil pump is what feeds the cam and rockers and everything in the topend. There isnt anything you can really do to solve this design in the 300ex. I learned this the hardway and wiped a cam and rockers on my 300ex. Part of the reason i went to 400ex's. The 400 has an oil tank that feeds the oil pump from the bottom of the tank. So long story short ride wheelies as long as you want with a 400ex. Cant ever run the engine out of oil at any angle besides upside down lol

Thanks 4 the info..maybe 10 yards is max distance for showing out..lol..smaller sprockets make it top out real quick between gears with 20's on back
