welcome to the site, sounds to me like your carb is NOT yet either clean or right!,
if you just took apart, did rebuild kit and used carb cleaner in a can, its very likely your carb is NOT cleaned right!
since you have spark and it does fire
, either you have BAD fuel, which can happen pretty easy
HOW old is fuel in tank
and or, is tank dirty, and you cleaned c arb, and ran dirty fuel thru it , and now back to square one?/

Ethanol fuel/gasoline, can go bad in a few weeks?
it will also coat carb parts in a varnish that is a royal pain to remove, blocks ports and passages , needing a lot more care than a can of carb clearing can do

do a Youtube video search maybe on how to clean using lemon juice and boiling carb in it, its a great way to clean a carb, after you remove all parts that boiling can damage of course!!

well, simple way to know where your motor is at, is do a compression test, if you cooked your motor, LOW compression, YES< can cause it NOT to run right or even run period??
maybe explain more what you call overheated motor??
so we can maybe get a better idea on damage if any you may have or have not done here?

Is your carb rebuild kit OEM Honda? If not, did you put the new jets in your carb that was in the kit? If you swapped out OEM jets with china made, ya gotta take china out and put the OEMs all back in there. Follow the service manual exactly as it recommends while setting it up. Let us know what we can do to help...

There is a sensor or something on top of carb is that the shut off it doesn't feel like its doing anything

well a fa carb work on my bike like this

2005-2014 TRX500 FA FGA Foreman Rubicon New Genuine Honda Carburetor OEM | eBay
The sensor looking thing on top is probably the carb heater... should have nothing to do with your issue. The service manual has very good coverage on your carb, maybe take the carb back apart and try assembling it again using the manual...? They are complicated and tough to get right if you don't....

To replace the carb with new you'll have to match the part number. Find your Foreman model on partzilla and look up the carb part number before buying.
