New to the forum.
I have an 05 Rancher 400 AT. I recently replaced the clutch weights in my rancher after it began slipping while riding in the mud. The hotter the bike got the less it would pull. So I put the new weights in and beefed up the clutch springs while I was inside. I took it for a test ride and everything checked out great. The next day we took off on a ride with several others and did not hit any mud for the first 30 minutes. The first mudhole proved to be disaster! My bike would hardly pull thru. It is acting the same way it did before the new clutch weights and springs.
Thanks for any input.

I put it back together last Friday night and rode on Sunday. The disc looked like it had gotten a little hot from the slippage I guess but nothing really stood out. Could it have expanded? Could the worn weights have damaged it enough to warrant a new disc? That would make sense but I haven't talked to anyone that has had this problem yet?????
